TIRES?

Dunlop supplied the original tires on the early Porsche Pre-A 356 and Porsche 550 Spyder models

500/525-16 Dunlop C18 Blackwall is our suggested tire. These are very close to the original tires.

Other tires that may be an option:

550-16 Blockley Racing 5 Block Tread Blackwall

500/525-16 Firestone Blackwall

For our new 16x5.5 a tire of 195/60r16 or 205/55r16 will be very close to the same diameter as a 165/80r15 and result in good speedometer accuracy. There are many tire brands on the market for these size tires.

3.25x16 with a Coker 5.00/5.25-16 mounted

 Compared:  5.5x16 with 195/60r16               Original wheel 4x15 with 165/80r15                5.5x16 with 205/55r16
